My dream
Most of my dreams are linked to what I do now. The first big dream is linked to my job. Now I have a master degree in English literature but I dream of having my professional teacher graduate to. This to provide even better courses to my pupils. This is the dream I wish to accomplish during my active life. When I retire, I think I will become a social worker. I already try to help the people as much as I can so later, when I stop teaching, I would like that to be my main occupation.
Family
My father and my brother with his family still live in Rupakot, my Birth village. My brother is married and he has two sons. Their main occupation is agriculture tough that isn’t their only occupation. My brother is president of SISAS Samaj Nepal and I am vice president of this organisation. We help poor children to get education and we provide informal education for both the children and the parents. Our organisation is Enlisted by the Nepali government but it still remains small. That is because it is centred in our village, Rupakot. Most organisations are centred in city’s and the find enough people to donate but for our organisation in the mountains it is more difficult to raise funds.
What I expect from YouBridge
I really like to work with hand-outs to help the pupils understand my course. It is impossible for me to do so because I do not have the time nor the money to make them in internet bar’s. I would use hand-outs for theory and extra exercises. This is the first reason. The second one is closely linked to the first one. I believe that a good lesson asks a lot of preparation. I already prepare my lessons but I think a computer will open a whole new world of possibility’s. Not in the least the fact that I can search other examples than those in the books. I could, and would also use a computer to do research about more efficient ways of teaching, and to do research on my subject in generally. The last reason I would like to have a computer is to promote the organisation of me and my brother. I hope that I can tell the world about what we are doing, and I hope to convince some people that we need funds to do it.
About me
told I am 30 years old, I am married but I don’t have any children. I was born in a little village 35km outside of Pokhara. The village is called Rupakot. To be more exact it is Rupakot VDC 6, Kaski, Nepal. I don’t live there anymore. I live in Pokhara. This is because I also work in Pokhara. Now, I am a teacher on the Sidhartha Lovedale Boarding school but I taught in other schools as well previous years. I teach the subject English and this is Also the subject of my former studies. I have a master degree in English literature. My first hobby is linked to my studies. I like to read books, nepali and English. My other hobby’s are seeing new places and helping the poor children in this country.
