My dream

I dream to be prime promoter of the health of my community and ensure that their public health needs are well articulated in the national agenda of my country. My vision is nothing short of a health status per excellence free from the communicable and preventable diseases and conditions. I dream of publics with equitable access to quality health care by professionally skilled health workers. I dream of a country free from the shackles of poverty, degradation of environment and dis-empowered women. I believe I will end up in the book annals as a worthy contributor to the cause of health equality.

Family

I am the last born child of my late mother Teresa and late father Erastus - may their souls rest in eternal peace Amen! My mother gave birth to a total of ten children as I am told but I only managed to see six of us (2 sisters & 4 brothers). My father was a a chief appointed by the colonialists and had ten wives. We are very many brothers and sisters from different mothers but same father. I am a medical doctor who is ageless having been born over 5 decades ago but still very energetic. My wife is a Kenyan national and a nurse by profession. We met in the care of the patients in the a health facility in Kenya where I resided for over 16 years before moving to Nigeria and Liberia. Three of my siblings are dead and only 3 of us brothers are still alive - one retired police officer, one university professor and I the medical doctor here in IHSU and World Health Organization. I am married to Lydia and we have over 12 children 8 of whom are my biological children and the others have a biological lineage as they are from my late brother. All my kids are wonderful and I thank God for that as one is a fine hair dresser, another is a pharmacist, two are social workers, another is soon to be an accountant and the rest are also struggling on the education ladder.

Music

I have very few favourite movies like the 'King Kong', 'Star Wars', 'The Lord of the rings', 'Nigerian movies and Indian movies. The music I listen most of the time is gospel music by the like of Ron Kenoly, Dolly Parton, Jim Reeves, Steve Wonders, etc. I also listen music from Marie Carry, Jannet Jackson, Michael Jackson, etc.

Associations

I am a member of the Uganda Medical Association, Kenya Medical Association,Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Board, Kenya Medical and Dental Practitioners Board, Uganda Private Practitioners Association, Family Planning Association of Nigeria, Uganda Red Cross Society, Igoria clan, etc

Interests

I enjoy watching soccer, playing scrabble, a traditional game called 'Omweso', carrying aerobic exercises, visiting relatives and friends, site seeing, walking, listening to stories and science fiction, reading newspapers, playing computer games, etc.
