My dream
My dream is to start a school in my home town, because there isn’t any school there. It would be a great start for our youngsters in Chitwan District
What I expect from YouBridge
I forced myself to learn something about the computer. I have done a lot of improvement regarding computer. I still have a lot of things to know about computer. My aim is to be a good teacher in my village. If I get a laptop it helps to build my confidence. It supports me for capacity building and to improve computer knowledge. I can communicate and learn many things. Computer knowledge is necessary for present context. By the time, I am a teacher, computer necessary in Nepal’s schools too.
About me
I am Sita Maya Chepang .I was born in 1988 from very remote village of Chitwan district of Nepal. I grew up from very poor family. we have altogether 6 members in our family. I was brought up from very poor background. My Father passed away when I was about four years old. This incident was like a disaster to our family. My mother's occupation is still a farmer and my whole family depends on agriculture.
I struggled more starting from the age 11. I was counted as disable person because one of my left arm was cut due to accident. I fell down from a tree when collecting grass for animals. After encountering with such a painful situation the whole world seemed to be dark. Though, I came across with many hard circumstances but it helped me to build up my character to stand strong. Later, I got supportive hands to support me financially in my education. I admitted in disable school when I was 12 years old. This was a turning point of my life where I got courage to do something. My spirit lifted and I take that opportunity as a challenge. I have better education than many children in my village now. When I linked with an NGO called Seacow, it searched for a person of Belgium (Jean Schooffs), who supported me economically. Now I am studying in Bachelor of Education in the 3rd year. I can't work in farming and I hope to become a teacher.
