My dream
With a blend of Community Psychology and Public Health, I hope to continue creating opportunities to build the capacity of organizations and communities to implement development programs that will improve the Health and Economic well being of disadvantaged people.
Family
I am born in a Polygamous family typical of the many Traditional African families of the last centuries. Bigger families were associated with pride and security but this trend is changing owing to the hard economic realities that engulf many people. I am the 12th born of my family and the 4th born of my mother. I recently married a long time friend Catherine Nimusiima who is also a Course mate at IHSU MPH Remote Learning Class. Catherine is expecting our first child and were relishing the blessing of being parents.
Music
I enjoy Gospel music because it speaks to my soul,quiets my fears. and connects me to the Sovereign Lord. Country Music by Kenny Rogers, Don Williams and Dolly Parton also make my day. For movies, I am a great fun of Comedy because I like to have a good laugh every day. I also love watching Discovery Channel on DSTV and Animal Planet.
Associations
I am the founding Chairperson of Common Goals Initiative (CGI)- an Association of 15 Peers dedicated towards providing Savings, Credit, Social Fund flexible Financial Services. CGI is having a tremendous positive impact on the financial management discipline of its members and through the flexible financial services offered, members have been able to finance personal projects. I am also a Founding Member of Ponlok Khmer- a Cambodian NGO. This was during my time as an International Volunteer in the remote Cambodian Province of Preah Vihear in 2008. I also participate in so many Volunteer and Non Profit Causes that seek to build the capacity of Local Organizations and Communities.
Interests
>I have a passion for Training, Community Development work and going out to nature sites like National Parks, Forests and Water Falls. I also enjoy Travel for adventure. I play Badminton, watch Football and play Monopoly. I have a big heart for children and always spare time to teach, talk, play and laugh with them.
