My dream

My dream is to serve my country Nepal to help to uplift the life of the poor people in Nepal, especially those of Pokhara. I want to struggle for their life like I did for mine, because I know the more we help the more Nepali poor people are able to build up a good life with a positive thought of the future. By doing this I know I’ll not help everyone but I put a brick for the wall and when more bricks are put together they can form a wall which can make a big difference in their lives. If I could serve those underprivileged people I think my dream would be fulfilled.

Family

During my childhood I learned fast how life was because I faced reality quite soon. At the age of 4 my father died due to asthma. He and my family lost the fight after fifteen years of treatment. My mother stayed alone after that with 4 little children and lack of money because of the father’ s treatment. If my father had received a better treatment with a fast healing my life would have been totally different. But I cannot change the past. As fast as possible my elder sisters and brothers were going to work so they could support my mother and making our life a little easier. After completing Class 10 at the age of 16 I also started to work. Since then I was a part-time student during the morning and full-time clerk in an organization for the rest of the day. Later on I started working as a teacher while studying further. Now I’m still pursuing my master degree in Arts faculty. I’m living together with my brother, sister in law, 2 nieces and my mother in our house, so that I could support the family economically.

What I expect from YouBridge

When I would have a personal laptop I would be able to search more easily national and international donators to support several projects in our organization. Also for other financial and general things of my organization a laptop would be very useful. Further as a teacher it would be a great help while preparing my lessons to do more research and introduce creative elements in my courses. Next to that I would use it a lot for my studies to do research and to prepare the thesis more easily.

Interests

The social organization, called YUVA JAGARAN SAMUHA ( youth awareness group), in which I’m vice-president is one of my biggest interests besides teaching. This organization is founded by some friends including myself what makes this case more interesting. During almost every evening we gather to discuss about some topics or to create some ideas for new projects. Further as being good friends we help each other also in personal cases during the evening teatime by giving advice. However, we are facing lack of fond to conduct different programs by our organization. Next to my interests for the organization I prefer to read or study English literature and write some poetry in my spare time. My favorite book is “Waiting for Godot”.
